So I have multiple questions to understand what are my possibilities.ġ/ Is it hard to change the Wifi/Bluetooth board inside the console ? Shops in my city don't seem to be able to change these parts. I know I should probably just format my HDD but I'm dumb and I didn't backup the important 100 hour + JRPG saves so, obviously, I don't want to format anything. This is what you should have tried first. To put it in safe mode and see the options there. You will most likely be able to update the firmware via USB from there too. USB issue (many reasons, the device being exotic, a USB hub making a mess, the device is not recognised because the partition is not fat32/mbr or the path/name of the file is wrong or not in caps etc. After a quick search on Google and Reddit, I discovered that apparently my Wi-fi/Bluetooth board is dead and needs to be replaced. This kind of installation issues are usually caused by one of 2 things: 1. This is usually caused by a problem in the voltage regulator the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth chip. I tried installing it and then every time I tried to install the update it stopped at 54% with the error code : 8002F1F9. So, you just decided to update your PS3 and it decided to throw out the 8002F1F9 code Or did you notice that your controller no longer starts up your console or even sync up This guide is for you. I instantly thought this happened because my console wasn't up to date so, like an idiot, I plugged in an Ethernet cable and downloaded the latest firmware. So today, after a month without playing on my PS3 Slim the Bluetooth as well as the wifi stopped working.
